Helen Kristensen oversees United Cargo's Strategic, Interline, Government, and Mail Accounts (SIGMA). She is responsible for leading the team of United Cargo professionals who manage the organization's largest global accounts including freight forwarders, interline partners, the U.S. Government, and global postal partnerships.

Helen joined United Airlines in 1995 and held management positions in Passenger Sales, Airport Operations, Customer Service, Customer Satisfaction and United's Mileage Plus organization as well as Cargo Sales Strategic Partner Manager for seven years prior to moving into her current role. Under her guidance, SIGMA team continues to grow the business with innovative solutions that leverage United’s extensive network, fleet and products to meet customer’s ever-evolving needs.

Helen received her B.A. from The University of Western Ontario in Canada and her MBA from York University Schulich School of Business in Toronto. She has a knack for languages, is fluent in five, and can get by in several others.

Helen travels extensively to see customers, family and friends and can make the most of her time on the ground because she is a master at sleeping on planes. She loves to explore new places and combines sightseeing with running so she can cover more ground.
