Jacques Leijssenaar is responsible for all aspects of United Cargo's operations in the European, Middle East, India and Africa region. In this role, he plans and directs the work of United Cargo's team of sales, operations, and revenue management professionals in the region, driving the company's success and growth.

Having joined United Airlines in 2015 after an 18-year tenure at Air France/KLM Cargo, Jacques brings a wealth of industry expertise to his current position. He held various leadership roles at Air France/KLM Cargo, serving as Director for Italy and Switzerland, Director for Benelux, and Director of Sales for South, Central, and Eastern Europe.

Jacques holds a master's degree in economics from the University of Amsterdam. His contributions to the success of United Cargo have been significant, including spearheading initiatives such as offering unlimited solutions to customers via network selling, the introduction of the commercial desk, and maintaining high operational performance while achieving growth.

On a personal note, Jacques considers himself a true team player, drawing from his experience in sports to emphasize the importance of collective success. Jacques believes that even though the striker gets often the most attention in football, the leader should recognize all members of the team, especially the unsung heroes, who are fundamental to every successful team.
