This week United Cargo was announced as the Corporate winner of the third annual Air Cargo Sustainability Awards hosted by TIACA though our work with the Eco-Skies Alliance. The program offers our corporate customers the opportunity to reduce their environmental impact and help make sustainable aviation the norm. Though continued efforts, more than 20 leading global corporations will collectively contribute towards the purchase of millions of gallons of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) each year. With its nearly 80% emissions reductions on a lifecycle basis compared to conventional jet fuel, SAF will eliminate tens of thousands of metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions from the atmosphere.

This has become the largest publicly announced SAF agreement in aviation history. As an industry that depends on fossil fuels to operate, we recognize our contribution to climate change and our responsibility to help solve it. By joining forces with our Eco-Skies Alliance partners, we’re demonstrating what companies can achieve when they come together for the greater good.
