Popping the Cork on Cork

United Cargo is proud to announce its 100th TempControl certified station in Cork, Ireland. This achievement highlights United Cargo's dedication to providing temperature-controlled logistics solutions to its clientele worldwide. With the addition of Cork to its network, United Cargo strengthens its capacity to offer unparalleled service for pharmaceuticals, biologics, and other perishables that require meticulous temperature management.
"Our 100th TempControl certification in Cork is more than just a number, it represents our relentless pursuit of excellence and our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our customers,” said Manu Jacobs, Global Director of Specialty Products at United Cargo. “Cork's strategic location enables us to further enhance our service offerings and connectivity, reinforcing our position as a leader in global temperature-sensitive logistics."
United Cargo TempControl certification ensures that stations meet stringent requirements for handling temperature-sensitive shipments. Most stations have controlled room temperatures ranging from 15° C to 25° C, cool storage between 2° C to 8° C, and frozen storage at 0° C and below or a combination of the three. These capabilities are critical for the pharmaceutical industry and other sectors requiring precise temperature management during transit. Some stations, like Cork, are pass-through stations, meaning they accept inbound TempControl shipments and transport them by truck to a connecting city.
Jan Krems, President of United Cargo, also commented on this achievement, "Achieving 100 TempControl certified stations worldwide is a testament to our team's hard work, dedication, and expertise. Our TempControl network is designed to provide peace of mind to our customers, knowing their shipments are handled with the utmost care and professionalism—and we are thrilled to pop the cork on this milestone!"
The certification of the Cork station as the 100th TempControl facility marks a significant step forward in United Cargo's mission to provide the best-in-class temperature-controlled logistics solutions, but we are not stopping there. United Cargo has plans to add TempControl capabilities to several more stations this year worldwide. With its global network and expert team, United Cargo is poised to continue leading the way in temperature-sensitive freight handling.
