Effective February 29, 2024, United Cargo will be enforcing new customs requirements to comply with the UAE National Advance Information Center (NAIC). On or after this date, air freight shipments traveling to, from or through the UAE, will now require the 6-digit Harmonized Commodity Codes (HS Codes). In order to process shipments, the air waybill (AWB), consolidation manifest, or FWB/FHL messages for all MAWBs and HAWBs will need to include 6-digit HS codes.

The submitted HS codes must match the actual content of the goods indicated on the airway bill documents. Shipments without HS codes or with invalid HS codes will be automatically rejected by the NAIC. If customers do not provide the information above, we will be unable to accept their shipments.
